WINDRUSH LEGACY 2098 recognises the importance of ensuring we identify and maintain the legacy of the original Windrush generation.

This legacy has been defined as the route to opportunities and development upon which this current generation may take advantage of.

75 years ago, these Windrush pioneers came to England with their hopes and aspirations for a brighter future. Now, 75 years on, we should appreciate that all we have achieved is on the shoulders of those who braved that journey all those decades ago.

The overall objective of WINDRUSH LEGACY 2098 is to renew the foundations upon which current and future Windrush descendants can further build on. We envision our community’s full participation in all aspects of UK’s society over the next 75 years in 2098, as well as taking our place as world citizens to successfully meet the challenges of this time.

Whilst we may not be around to see the complete WINDRUSH LEGACY in 2098, we will at least set milestones to ensure we keep our community on the correct trajectory to meet the overall obejective.
